John has a particular interest in seeing projects progress from concepts to a physical form that is functional, practicable, economical and well designed.  He has worked on a wide range of projects varying in scale from 'new towns' to house extensions in locations throughout the eastern states of Australia.  He is a regular contributor to Planning News and appears as an advocate or expert witness at VCAT and Panel Hearings.  He is responsible for a variety of major strategic planning and development projects involving the coordination of specialists and requiring complex environmental issues, site analysis, impact assessment, urban design, statutory planning, feasibility assessment, heritage issues and various consultation techniques.
